Head coach of Nations FC, Kassim Mingle Ocansey has praised defender and captain of the side, Razak Simpson for his output in their 1-0 victory against Hearts of Oak on Thursday.
Simpson’s 45-yard thunderbolt strike gave the Kumasi based club a 1-0 victory in a week 21 outstanding Ghana Premier League fixture at the Tuba Astro turf.
The defender's return from the Black Stars after the two FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar has added much steel at the back.
Coach Mingle was full of praise for the former West Africa Football Academy defender.
“I don’t know how to describe the goal. The strike was very, very beautiful," he said.
"I congratulate him; as a captain and leader of the side, he has proved his worth," Mingle added.
The hard-fought win move Nations FC to the 4th position on the league log with 39 points. They will hope to continue their impressive run when they host Karela United on Monday, 7 April, at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Stadium.
Hearts of Oak on the other hand dropped to 6th spot with 37 points and hope to return to winning ways when they host Medeama SC.
