Record title holders, Asante Kotoko share the top of log on 47 points with Bibiani GoldStars after match week 26 of the campaign.
Third placed side, Nations FC have 45 points with Medeama SC climbing into 4th on 41 points after whitewashing Dreams FC by 4-0 last Friday at the Tarkwa TnA Park. The Mauve and Yellow share same points with Heart of Lions and Hearts of Oak heading into the week 22 outstanding fixtures on Wednesday, April 16.
Bibiani GoldStars head coach Frimpong Manso insists the Ghana Premier League title battle is not a two-horse race between his outfit and Asante Kotoko, making a strong case for Nations FC.
With seven matches to end the campaign, Manso believes the title race is wide open but insists his side’s objective to win the ultimate.
“Ghana Premier League title race is not between Kotoko and Goldstars. As we speak, Nations FC is a title contender. We want to win the league title and that is the objective now but it depends on how we approach the remaining matches” he said.
GoldStars will travel to face Bechem United in a game that promises to be a thrilling encounter as both teams will be yearning for the maximum points.
