Ghanaian striker Joel Fameyeh has taken another step in his career following a move to Hungarian top flight leaders Puskas Akademia. Fameyeh, who once played for the defunct Ghana club Wa All Stars, left Russian side Rubin Kazan to continue his career with the Hungarian outfit.

The 27-year-old’s football journey began in Ghana before he made the journey abroad to Belarus in 2016, where he was a key figure for Belina and later Dinamo Brest where he scored 32 goals in 95 appearances and secured two Belarusian Cups, two Super Cups, and a league title.

Fameye’s sterling performance earned him a move to Russia, where he spent three years at Orenburg in Russia's second tier before transferring to another second tier side Rubin Kazan where he helped the club achieve promotion to the Premier League. Fameyeh's playing time declined in the top tier before his release.

He has signed a deal with Puskas that will keep him at the club until 2027. With his proven track record across Belarus and Russia, the striker is expected to add valuable experience and firepower to the Hungarian side as they continue a tight title race. Puskas Akademia are currently one point ahead of Hungarian powerhouse Ferencváros who have won the last six Hungarian top flight championships.
