Ghana forward Richmond Boakye-Yiadom has promised to give his all and score more goals for new club, Sloga Doboj.
The 31-year-old striker, who is touted as the most high-profile signing in the league this transfer window, joins Doboj with a rich experience having played in top European competitions in the past.
Speaking about his move, the former Red Star Belgrade star expressed his commitment to the team: "I want to focus on this club and its goals. I’m here for my team."
Boakye who is capped 19 times for the senior national team, signed an 18-month contract with Sloga Doboj, a deal warmly welcomed by club president Miroslav Kršić.
"The management and coaching staff are equally excited about the acquisition, believing Boakye's experience and proven track record can significantly enhance the team's attacking threat.
Head coach Nedim Jusfbegovic expressed confidence in Boakye's ability to make an impact, "We hope that, as a team and a club, we can create a positive environment for him to give his best."
Boakye's signing has generated excitement among fans and the football fraternity, with many recalling his impressive performances during his time with Serbian giants Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade).
Sloga's leadership is optimistic that the Ghanaian forward will rediscover his goal-scoring form and bring his best to the Bosnian Premier League.
Boakye-Yiadom has previously played for Genoa, Sassuolo, Juventus and Atalanta in the Italian Serie A and Latina in the second tier. His football journey also includes Roda JC of the Netherlands, Red Star Belgrade in two spells with a couple of stints at Beitar Jerusalem, Jiangsu Suning and Selangor of Malaysia.
