Goals and assists from African players in the Middle East: December 7-8

A weekend full of matches from the three biggest leagues in the Middle East saw plenty of goal contributions from African players but no player is in hotter form than Togolese striker Kodjo Laba. Ever since joining United Arab Emirates giants Al Ain from Morocco's RS Berkane ahead of the 2018-19 season, the Lomé native has accumulated an astounding 135 goals in 164 appearances across all competitions for the club based in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.


Laba contributed a hat-trick in Al Ain's latest dominant victory, bringing his total to 10 goals in 5 league matches this season. Watch Laba's goal as well as all the other goal contributions from African players this weekend in the Saudi Pro League, the Qatar Stars League and the UAE Pro League.

Ferjani Sassi (Tunisia) scores twice in a victory for Al-Gharafa at Al-Shahaniya, the second goal assisted by Yacine Brahimi (Algeria)






Trezeguet (Egypt), on loan from Turkish club Trabzonspor, scored his third goal of the season in Al Rayyan's victory at Qatar SC



Ahmed Abdelkader (Egypt), on loan from Cairo giants Al Ahly, scores his third goal for Qatar SC on an assist from Raoul Danzabe (Cameroon)



A free kick service from Sofiane Hanni (Algeria) sets up the second goal in Al Khor's 2-1 victory at Al-Duhail



Mohamed Camara (Mali) provides his first goal contribution with Al-Sadd, assisting Akram Afif for the equalizer in a 2-2 draw with Al Ahli Doha




Sekou Yansané (Guinea & Morocco) sets up Julian Draxler for the second goal in Al Ahli Doha's draw with Al-Sadd
