Hany Abou Rida: The EFA board will work tirelessly

Eng. Hany Abou Rida, the newly elected president of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) and a member of the FIFA Council and CAF Executive Committee, expressed his happiness with the trust placed in him by the General Assembly of the EFA. He won the presidency unopposed to secure the management of the EFA board for the next four years.


Commenting on the victory, Abou Rida stated:

"I extend my gratitude to all members of the General Assembly of the EFA for their support, trust, and immense love which I have felt today and throughout my history with Egyptian football. I promise to work with the new board to develop Egyptian football and restore its leadership."


He added:


"The circumstances are challenging and the mission is heavy. We have a lot of work and effort ahead of us to develop Egyptian football. We will spare no effort to bring joy to the fans who are eager to see Egypt reclaim its place at the forefront of African and global football."


Abou Rida also emphasized his gratitude to all state entities involved in sports, their officials, and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, for the support and determination to create an environment conducive to success in the coming period.


He continued:


"We have the support and positive energy needed to help us reclaim Egypt's rightful place in the world of football. However, we must all unite to achieve this goal."


He concluded:


"The doors of the Egyptian Football Association are open to everyone for the sake of Egyptian football. No one in the football system will be excluded. The current board will work tirelessly to address the shortcomings that Egyptian football has suffered from in recent times, with the help of everyone."
