Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has backed diminutive midfielder Mohammed Hussein to glitter in their week 18 fixture against Basake Holy Stars.
The former Debibi United midfielder turned in an uninspiring effort when the Phobians drew goalless at Samartex in their clash last weekend. Despite his lackluster performance, Hussein lasted the entire game much to the surprise of the club’s supporters.
“He is the man to create all the chances for us, one-on-one but [against Samartex] he is off, he didn’t play well and loses some balls. I think for every player sometimes things like that happen but he is not a bad player. Today [against Samartex] did not go well for him and that is the only thing.” Aboubakar Ouattara said.
The record Ghana FA Cup holders need all three points to keep maintain their chase at the top of the table. Hearts of Oak currently sit 5th on the Ghana Premier League table with 29 points from 17 matches.
