Hearts of Oak midfielder, Mohammed Hussein says that, high level performance from players will determine their chances of winning the Premier League this season.

The diminutive midfielder’s corner kick in the first half saw Michael Awuah head home the opener in their 2-0 victory against Young Apostles at the Legon Stadium on Saturday evening.

The 20-year-old was adjudged the best player of the Week 23 encounter but he believes there is more work at hand.

“I can’t just say we are going there [Africa], it will be determined by our performance. We are playing match after match so let’s see what happens,” Mohammed Hussein told the media in a post match press conference.

“So far as the league is ongoing, we will still pray and keep our performance so that so that we can go far,” he added. The victory saw Hearts of Oak leapfrog all clubs to the top of the table on 36 points from 20 matches this season. The remaining games from Week 23 are set for Sunday across various venues.
