Saudi Pro League leaders Al Ittihad were on song with the mauling of Al Wehda on Saturday at the King Abdul Aziz Sports City.

Ittihad announced their presence in front of goal when former Real Madrid attacker, Karim Benzema assisted right back, Mohammed Alshanqiti to fire them ahead on the 37th minute.

The home side, however, pulled through the half to equalize from the boot of Morocco international, Jawad El Yamiq with just three minutes to conclude the first half. The star studded Al Ittihad did not sit on the fence when Karim Benzema shot them ahead on the half time mark.

Back from recess, the visitors began firing from all cylinders one more with Dutch forward, Steven Bergwijn powering in a third goal on the 60th minute. Former France international, Karim Benzema registered another assist by teeing off Algeria midfielder, Houssem Aouar on the 90th minute to ice the cake for Al Ittihad.

They now extend their lead on top of the league table to 52 points, four better than second placed Al Hilal after 20 league matches.
