Head coach of Sudan national team, James Kwesi Appiah has ruled out a return to coach his nation, Ghana in the immediate.
The soft spoken tactician was assistant to the Black Stars for five years before rising to coach the four time African champions in two spells - leading them to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Kwesi Appiah was first appointed Black Stars coach from 2012 to 2014 and from 2017 to 2020. Kwesi Appiah said: "If you are a professional coach, you will have to always keep in mind that you must be ready for any opportunity but as of now, I have a contract with Sudan," he told Asempa FM.
"For now, I am focused on what I am doing with Sudan but for now, I don't want to say anything because I don't want to contradict myself," he added.
He signed a one year contract with Sudan - qualifying them for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nation in Morocco and is on the brink of leading them to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico and USA.
His other senior coaching career include stints with Sudan club, Al Khartoum, Asante Kotoko of Ghana and the national U-23 which he led to the Maputo Africa Games football glory in 2011.
