Asante Kotoko’s returnee striker, Kwame Opoku has revealed his admiration for the quality players in the club.

The 27-year-old rejoined the Porcupine Warriors on a two-and-a-half year deal after failed stints in Algeria and Morocco. The prolific forward has already made his mark by scoring in his second stint with the club.

Speaking to Asante Kotoko SC on YouTube, Kwame Opoku shared his excitement about playing alongside quality teammates. “In our games, I saw a lot of quality in the players. You can see everybody exhibits a lot of quality. The players are getting to know me, so as time goes on, things will get better," he said.

“The coach and the players, we all have a positive relationship. Even in training, all players try to give their best. Everybody has a good relationship with the coach,” he added.

The ebony black goal poacher transferred to Algeria top flight side, US Alger from Asante Kotoko but he struggled to make an impact. He moved to join Morocco’s Botola league side, Olympique Khouribga where equally found it hard to command a regular shirt.

Opoku quickly made an impact on his return when he scored his debut goal for the Porcupine Warriors in their 2-0 victory at home to Bibiani Gold Stars.

Kwame Opoku is eagerly anticipating Asante Kotoko’s upcoming match against Medeama Sporting Club on Sunday, January 5 at fhe TnA Park.
