Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s new signing, Sampson Eduku has indicated that he is ready to compete for with strikers Albert Amoah and Kwame Opoku for the front line of the Porcupine Warriors.
The experienced striker joined the record Ghana Premier League holders on Thursday, January 9, signing a one-and-a-half-year contract following the successful completion of his medical.
Speaking in his first intervie during his unveiling, Eduku, noted that he is determined to do his best for Asante Kotoko. “It feels amazing to join a club as big as Kotoko. This is a massive step in my career, and I’m fully aware of the expectations that come with playing for this great club.
“Competing with talented players like Albert Amoah and Kwame Opoku will only push me to be better. I relish the competition, and I’m ready to give my best for this great club,” Eduku said as quoted on the website of Asante Kotoko.
The new signing is expected to provide a major squad boost for Kotoko as the team aims to fight for both the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup trophies.
The two time African Champions currently sit 6th on the league table with 28 points, same as sworn rivals, Hearts of Oak after 16 league matches played.
