After a difficult time in Spanish football, Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho is finding his form on loan at Middlesbrough in the EFL Championship.
The former Leicester City and Manchester forward provided assists on both goals Friday in Middlesbrough's 2-0 victory at Blackburn Rovers. Middlesbrough did their damage inside the opening ten minutes when Iheanacho set up Tommy Conway's opener in the 2nd minute before assisting Samuel Iling Junior in the 8th minute.
Iheanacho now has three goal contributions in his last two matches for Boro after an indifferent start to his return to English football. Middlesbrough moved up to 5th place with the victory as they continue a strong push to secure a place in the promotion playoffs, winning three of their last four matches.
Having fallen out of consideration for the Nigeria national team due to a lack of consistent playing time with La Liga club Sevilla, Iheanacho will look to continue his fine form on loan and attract suitors for next season. He is reportedly keen to return to English football on a permanent move and also had reported interest from the likes of Scottish giants Celtic FC.
