Ghanaian forward Jonathan Sowah scored on his debut for Singida Black Stars in their 2-2 home draw against Kagera Sugar in the Tanzania Mainland Premier League on Friday. The former Medeama SC striker fired Singida into the lead as early as the 6th minute at the Liti Stadium.

The visitors however left no stone unturned when they pulled level on 21st minute through the boots of Salehe Kambenga. The 1-1 score line remained same moving into the break.

Back from recess, the visitors shot themselves ahead on the 59th minutes from the effort of Tanzania midfielder, Halifa Nolo, leaving the sparsely populated home fans in shock.

The attending home supporters were however given something to smile about when Togo’s attacking midfielder, Marouf Tchakei found the equalizer from the penalty spot on the 62nd minute which eventually pegged the entire game at 2-2 after full time.

Jonathan Sowah recently joined the club from Libya's Al Ahli Benghazi and his first goal will help him boost his confidence after making the move.
