Ghana’s female senior national team midfielder Josephine Afua Kyerewaa Bonsu has said that the team has enough capacity to do well in the nearest future.
The German born received her maiden call-up ahead of the Black Queens’s friendly game against the Atlas Lioness of Morocco. Kyerewaa, 25, who joined the team’s training camp for the first time, expressed her delight.
"I'm beyond grateful for being selected to the squad. The ladies, the Queens, made it really easy on me. They took me like family," she said. "I think we can really do a lot. I hope that I can bring my own style of playing football abroad."
Bonsu also praised the team's energy and cohesion ahead of the game on Friday. "I feel the energy here is crazy... Everybody is so hyped. I think with this team we can achieve something great."
She plays for Carl Zeiss Jena Women's team in the German Women's Bundesliga After the game against the Atlas Lioness, the Black Queens will play domestic giants, AS FAR Rabat three days later.
