JS Kabylie head coach Abdelhak Benchikha has surprisingly resigned from his post. Supporters of the current Ligue 1 Mobilis leaders were shocked to hear the new development. The 61-year-old Algerian claimed heavy pressure from the club for his resignation.
Benchikha and his charges started off the Algerian Ligue 1 season on a bright note. After the Algerian Cup Round of 32 win over ES Guelma, Benchikha revealed his resignation from JSK.
The well traveled coach cited frequent pressure in the club for his ultimate decision. "Every week, I feel like I'm in court. Whether I win or lose, they are never happy."
According to Competition DZ, he thanked JSK fans for his time at the club. "Today is my last match at the head of the JS Kabylie technical bar. I thank all the Kabyles who supported me, as well as my managers. Medane's project was really up to par."
JS Kabylie are leaders of Algerian Ligue 1 with 24 points and progressed to the Round of 16 in the Coupe d'Algérie. Benchikha has previously worked in Algeria, Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, Qatar and Tanzania.
