Ugandan striker Juliet Nalukenge has made a club switch in Turkey, joining 1207 Antalya Spor Kulubu from Kayseri Spor, both competing in the country’s second-tier women’s league.
Her move comes on the back of a brief but impactful spell at Kayseri Spor, where she featured in two matches and found the net once. Nalukenge made headlines three weeks ago when she marked her debut with a goal in a 1-1 draw against Golbasi Belediye Spor.
Now set for a new challenge, the prolific forward will bolster Antalya Spor Kulubu’s promotion ambitions as they push for a place in the topflight. She is expected to make her debut on Wednesday afternoon in a crucial fixture against Dudullu Spor Kulubu in Istanbul.
Nalukenge’s career has seen her grace multiple leagues, having previously played for Apollon Ladies and AMOK Chrysomilia in Cyprus, as well as Kawempe Muslim in Uganda, where she first rose to prominence.
Her talent has earned her several accolades, including the prestigious NXGN Award from Goal.com in 2020—making her the first Ugandan player to receive the honor.
Having battled injuries that kept her out of action for a significant period, Nalukenge is now eager to reignite her career and return to her best form. With this move, she hopes to make a strong impact and continue her rise in women’s football.
