Zambia international Kings Kangwa was among the goals as Hapoel Be'er Sheva snatched a 2-2 draw against Maccabi Tel Aviv F.C. in an Israel Premier League fixture at Turner Stadium on Wednesday.

After a 0-0 outcome in the first half, the Chipolopolo star opened the scoring in the 61st minute with an accurate finish following a dribbling run. However, Sagiv Jehezkel leveled matters for Tel Aviv in the 73rd minute before Weslley Patati made it 2-1 in their favour.

Alon Turgeman ensured Kangwa’s side went home with a draw after finding the back of the net at the stroke of full time. The draw enabled Kangwa’s Hapoel Be'er Sheva to remain at the top of the 14 team league table with 35 points from 16 matches.

They have managed 11 wins, four draws and one defeat. On the other hand, Kangwa has now scored six goals and provided five assists.

Meanwhile, Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo scored for Brentford but it was not enough to help his side evade a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Aresenal at at Gtech Community Stadium in the first Premier League game of 2025.

Mbeumo netted for the hosts inside the first 15 minutes, before Gabriel Jesus equalised on the half-hour mark. Two goals for Mikel Arteta's side in the opening stages of the second period - from Mikel Merino and Gabriel Martinelli, respectively - secured the victory for the Gunners.

Mikkel Damsgaard picked the ball up in midfield, jinked past Martin Odegaard, and sent Mbeumo down the right channel. The Indomitable Lions winger drove at Riccardo Calafiori and, just as he entered the penalty area, he cut onto his left foot and fired it low and hard past David Raya at his near post.

So far this season, Mbeumo has scored 11 goals and contributed two goals from 19 matches.
