Asante Kotoko will look to consolidate their points at the top of the league table when they travel to face Nsoatreman in week 19 at 3:00pm on Sunday.

The record premier league holders have 34 points, one better than second placed teams, Gold Stars and Heart of Lions with Nations FC in fourth on 32 points and Hearts of Oak completing the top five with 30 points after 18 league matches.

In winning the league title, head coach of the Porcupine Warriors, Prosper Narteh Ogum emphasizes the need to put up a good team that is capable of lifting another title.

“We have the quality and we need to blend the quality to be able to make sure that we keep winning games that will make us win the championship.

“So the quality is there, we have the quality in terms of goalkeeping, in terms of defence, in terms of midfield, in terms of attack, in terms of wingers, we have the quality,” Narteh Ogum told Kotoko media.

“But then as a technical staff we have to make sure that we blend them well so that we have a good balance, we have some stability in defence, stability in the middle of the park, stability in offence and then this balance and stability should be able to translate into consistency in performance.

“It is not just about bringing these individual players on board, it is about blending them well and to the players they need to identify their qualities and use their quality which is their strength when they are given the chance to play.”

The week 19 matches will opened on Friday January 31 when Hearts of Oak host Heart of Lions at the Legon Sports Stadium with the remaining games set for Sunday, January 2 across various venues.
