Asante Kotoko’s latest signing, Daniel Adrian Adjetey has revealed the reasons for joining the record Ghana Premier League holders.

The 24-year-old signed one-and-a-half year deal with the Porcupine Warriors ahead of the second round of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season. According to him, one of the main reasons is the exceptional project the club’s management presented to him.

“It’s an incredible feeling to join Kotoko. This is one of the biggest clubs in Africa, and I’m honored to be part of it. I’ve had the privilege of playing abroad, but coming back to represent Kotoko feels special. One of the reasons I wanted to play in Ghana again is the exceptional project the club’s management put forward to me,” Adjetey said as quoted on the website of his new club.

The defender sealed his move to the Porcupine Warriors club on Monday, January 20, after a successful medical examination. In his maiden interview, Adjetey shared his readiness to work hard for his new club to ensure the team succeeds.

“It’s exciting, and I’m confident this is the right place for me to grow as a player and contribute to something great. I know the expectations here are high, and I’m ready to work hard, compete for my place, and give my all to help the team succeed,” said Adjetey.

The two time African champions have already signed strikers, Sampson Eduku, Isaac Mintah in addition to the existing forwards, Kwame Opoku and the injured Albert Amoah.

With the acquisition of the defender, Asante Kotoko's squad has been augmented as the side aims to clinch the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the 2024/25 football season.
