Tanzania Mainland Premier League leaders Young Africans stretched their league unbeaten run to eleven matches with a 3-0 victory at Pamba Jiji on Friday.

Burkinabe superstar Stephane Aziz Ki scored twice in the second half to confirm victory after Congolese fullback Chadrack Boka found the goal for his first Yanga goal in the first half. The former TP Mazembe and Saint-Eloi Lupopo defender showed his technical ability with a well curled free kick before the half hour mark.

Hosts Pamba Jiji, back in the top flight and fighting for survival, did keep the match close but their resistance was broken in the final twenty minutes. In the 75th minute, a direct approach secured all the points for Yanga when a long ball led to Maxi Nzengeli's cross finding Aziz Ki for a perfectly placed header to double the lead.

Less than three minutes later, Aziz Ki added one more goal to bring his total to thirteen goals between Ligi Kuu Bara and CAF Champions League play. Yanga are now seven points clear of Simba SC at the top of the table after their rivals dropped points in a 2-2 draw against Azam FC earlier this week.

Yanga have a week to rest and prepare for a massive Kariakoo Derby when they clash with Simba in a highly anticipated duel that will go a long way to determining the league champion. In the other match played earlier on Friday, Tabora United edged Dodoma Jiji 1-0 to further secure their position in 5th place.
