Simba SC head coach Fadlu Davids has revealed why he will keep rotating his squad following the 3-0 Mainland Premier League win against Tabora United at Ali Hassan Mwinyi Stadium on Sunday.

The Wekundu wa Msimbazi scored in either half with Leonel Ateba opening the scoring in the 14th minute before he scored from the penalty spot in the 35th minute to make it 2-0.

Defender Shomari Kapombe drilled home the third in the 66th minute to round off another emphatic win for Simba.

“It was important (to rotate the squad) because in another three days we have a match, and it was very important to keep the squad going because last week some players played 90 minutes in the CRB Cup and now we have got Fountain Gate,” Davids told Pan-Africa Football.

“We know every three to four days we have a match and we know we have to use the entire squad like I said, you know each and every one can play anytime.”

On the goals Simba scored, the South African coach said: “I am happy that the goals are coming from all areas, it was a good team performance. We stay in Dodoma until Monday then travel to play Fountain Gate, another tough away match but we will get onto the pitch to try and get the three points.”

The win enabled Simba to reclaim their top spot from rivals Young Africans (Yanga SC) as they reached 43 points from 16 matches. Yanga dropped to second on 42 points from the same number of matches.
