Young Africans (Yanga SC) head coach Miloud Hamdi has ruled out making changes to the starting XI when they face JKT Tanzania in a Mainland Premier League fixture at at Major Isamuhyo Stadium in Mbweni, Dar es Salaam on Monday.

Hamdi, will be taking charge of his first game since replacing Sead Ramovic, who quit the club in a huff to take up the same role at Algerian club CR Belouizdad.

Speaking ahead of the game, Hamdi, who joined Yanga from Singida Black Stars, promised to stick with the team’s starting XI under Ramovic.

“At this early stage, I won't be making drastic tactical changes. I'll be observing the current starting line-up and existing tactics to maintain momentum while gradually incorporating my own approach,” explained Hamdi as quoted by the Guardian.

On being named Yanga coach, he said: “I'm thrilled to be leading this team, one of the best in the country and on the continent. I have the privilege of working with the league's top players, and their dominant 6-1 win last week proves their talent, composure, and determination.”

On facing JKT Tanzania, he said: “We know the match will be tough, but we will do everything to secure three points. I respect JKT Tanzania; they are a good team that plays attractive football. However, we have prepared well and are determined to get the win.”

He concluded: “Yes, we scored six goals in our last game, but that was because we have a quality squad. Our main focus is to perform well in every match. The key objective now is to secure three points, regardless of the number of goals we score.”

Yanga will head into the fixture brimming with confidence after a commanding 6-1 victory over KenGold FC in their last league assignment.
