Young Africans (Yanga SC) Media Officer Ali Kamwe has downplayed the exit of coach Sead Ramovic insisting that the Mainland Premier League champions will not be affected in any way.

On Wednesday, Yanga confirmed in a statement that they had hired the services of Algerian coach Miloud Hamdi, who was attached with Singida Black Stars, following their decision to part ways with Ramovic, who had been at the club for only 81 days.

However, according to Kamwe the news about coach Ramovic ended immediately after he packed his bags and the club announced the new coach.

“About Ramovic? We are done with him, he has left the club, he is not part of us anymore, he came here and had his time and our time with him is gone, we don’t have anything to do with him,” Kamwe told Pan-Africa Football after the emphatic 6-1 league win against KenGold.

“Yanga has been around for over 89 years, and on February 11, Yanga will reach 90 years of existence, and that age surely shows that Yanga has been around for a very long time, they have seen many things, they have gone through many things, and they have seen a lot and gone through many challenges.

“For now, our focus is to move forward and continue getting three points from every game we play so that we defend the title. So, anything to do with Ramovic died when he left the club, and as a club we moved quickly to replace him with a new coach.”

Meanwhile, Ramovic believes any coach can succeed at Yanga because of the quality of players in the squad. In his parting short, Ramovic said: “Yanga has high class and quality players. If any coach is given cooperation like mine, he will do very well.”
