Tanzania coach and football pundit Kennedy Mwaisabula has tipped Young Africans (Yanga SC) to dominate rivals Simba SC during their top-of-the-table Mainland Premier League fixture at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Saturday.

The two giants will face off at a very crucial stage of the season with the Timu ya Mwananchi topping the league table with 58 points, four more than Simba, though the Msimbazi Reds have played one match less.

The fixture will provide Simba with an opportunity to close the gap to one point and also avenge the first leg defeat which they lost 1-0 courtesy of a late own goal from by Kelvin Kijili. In fact, Simba have not beaten Yanga this season, since their first meeting in the Community Shield final ended 1-0 in favour of Yanga.

According to Mwaisabula, who previously played for Yanga, his former club have an experienced squad to dominate Simba, and the best the latter can secure from the game is a draw, but they cannot beat Yanga.

“It’s a tough match, and all players understand the importance of giving their best. Despite frequent coaching changes, Yanga boast of quality players capable of delivering desired results,” said Mwaisabula as quoted by Daily News.

“However, Yanga will only dominate if Simba’s defense is careless, as they have been prone to making recurring mistakes.”

He added: “Yanga can either win or draw on Saturday, but not the loss as Simba will be under pressure to secure a victory for the first time so as to strengthen their position in the Premier League standings.”

While Yanga have won 19 matches drawn one and lost two, Simba have managed 17 wins, three draws and suffered one defeat.
