An outstanding performance from JKT Tanzania goalkeeper Yakoub Suleiman Ali was not quite enough for the visitors to earn a positive result at mighty Simba SC on Tuesday. The Tanzania Mainland Premier League leaders found a goal from Jean Charles Ahoua in second half stoppage time to prevail by a 1-0 score and maintain their lead at the top of the table.
Simba dominated the match and created plenty of opportunities but encountered a stubborn JKT side that frustrated the hosts on many occasions. Goalkeeper Suleiman was sublime, denying a couple of chances around the 17th minute including a sprawling dive to tip away a dangerous header. Suleiman was called into action again closer to halftime, diving to deny a curling free kick from Simba winger Elie Mpanzu.

However, the match would end in heartbreak for the mid-table side and it was the Ivorian substitute Ahoua who saved three points for the Reds. A late penalty kick awarded in Simba's favor saw the former Stella Club star send Suleiman the wrong way to extend Simba's league winning streak to eight matches. Simba lead rivals Young Africans by four points with one more match played than Yanga.
In the other match played earlier, Singida Black Stars came back from a halftime deficit to secure a 2-1 victory over KenGold. Kenyan forward Elvis Rupia set up the equalizer soon after halftime before scoring the match winner less than ten minutes later, keeping Singida Black Stars in fourth position.
