Ivory Coast international, Hamed Junior Traore put up a sterling performance for AJ Auxerre in their 1-1 home draw against Saint-Etienne on Friday.
The 24-year-old needed only 27 minute to announce his presence when he latched on to Ghana international, Elisha Owusu’s assist to open the floodgates for Auxerre.
Their resolve to hold on to the lead paid off until on the stroke of half time when Lucas Stassin drew level for the visiting Saint-Etienne. Both sides failed to score with Hamed Traore enjoying 87 minutes of action after being replaced by Florian Aye while Elisha Owusu played full time.
Auxerre per the drawn game stay in 11th with 23 points with Saint-Etienne in 14th on 18 points after 19 games. Hamed Traore, 23, has played 16 league games with eight goals and an assist to his credit this season.
He has 10 caps for the Elephants of La Cote d’Ivoire, scoring two goals.
