In Week 27 from France's Ligue 1, African players were yet again heavily involved for their teams on Sunday. In a 3-2 victory for Le Havre against FC Nantes, four of five goals were scored by African national team players.

Le Havre earned a hard fought win over Breton side Nantes. Guinea international Abdoulaye Touré scored two first half penalties (video below), the second after compatriot Saïdou Sow struck an equalizer for Nantes.

Nigerian forward Moses Simon made it 2-2 with his 7th goal of the season after the resumption but the home side snatched a late win. Energetic midfielder Touré has now reached seven league goals in the 2024/25 season, his highest ever. Sow got his first goal of the season for Nantes.

Elsewhere, Malian international Kamory Doumbia scored and also provided an assist in Brest's 4-2 win over Toulouse. Doumbia bagged his second league goal of the season to go along with two assists.

Brest are ninth with 40 points. Nantes sit 13th with 27 points while Le Havre are in the drop zone with 24 points.
