Week 4 from the USA's top division Major League Soccer ended with a clash in Atlanta between Atlanta United and Lionel Messi's Inter Miami with Ivorian striker Emmanuel Latte Lath finding the net for the hosts.

The striker signed by Atlanta for a MLS record fee totaling over €21 million helped his side to an early lead with an 11th minute header. Right back Brooks Lennon took down a pass from former Newcastle United playmaker Miguel Almiron and sent in a perfect cross for Latte Lath to head in his third goal in four matches.

However the excellent start for the hosts prompted a swift response from Inter Miami and of course it was Messi who equalized in the 20th minute with a sumptuous chipped finish over Atlanta goalkeeper Brad Guzan.

After a battle of a first half, the match died down in the second half and it appeared that the teams would share points. But Inter Miami, now undefeated in eight games all competitions so far this season, displayed their ability to earn points in hostile environments when Haitian international Fafa Picault headed in a late winner to claim all three points for the Herons.

For Latte Lath and Atlanta, it is now three matches in a row without a victory after a thrilling 3-2 victory over CF Montreal. Atlanta return to action in Week 5 on Saturday when they travel to face FC Cincinnati. Latte Lath will be available after not being called into the squad of Ivory Coast head coach Emerse Faé.
