FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have, after announcing that they were done on the transfer market, made a u-turn to recruit another player—goalkeeper Austin Chirambo.

The 22-year-old has signed a four-year contract with Bullets confirming the development on Thursday.

The statement reads: “Bullets is delighted to announce that goalkeeper Austin Chirambo has completed a permanent transfer from Manchester Motors after signing a four-year contract with the club.

He will compete for the first-choice jersey with Richard Chimbamba and Clever Mkungula who alternate between the sticks.

Chirambo is familiar with Bullets after he spent years with the giants’ reserve team before seeking greener pastures at the lower league team, Manchester Motors FC.

The youngster is rated highly and earned under-20 national team selection for the last edition of the U-20 COSAFA Youth Championship. He is the latest arrival in Bullets’ camp after defenders Andrew Jovinala and Chikumbutso Henderson.

The record Super League winners have since loaned out youthful keeper Sharifu Swadick and midfielder Sean Mabrams to the reserve team.
