Malawi’s TNM Super League champions Silver Strikers have signed striker Sam Adeyemi and midfielder Festus Duwe ahead of the 2025-26 season next month.

The Nigerian Adeyemi has signed from Mzuzu Hammers whereas Duwe was on the books of Civil Sporting FC last season while on loan from Ascent Academy.

Duwe has since said he is excited to sign for the eight-time Malawi champions based in the capital city, Lilongwe.

“I am happy to be here and thank the team for trusting me. I want to return the team’s faith in me by being committed to achieving whatever is at stake. I am so happy to join the team,” he said.

On his part, Adeyemi said he is ready to deliver the goods next season. “Silver Strikers is a big club and I know how competitive the team is. I would like to play my part and see how I can help the team do and achieve more but I am so happy to be here,” he said.

Silver have confirmed that the duo has signed a three-year contract becoming new coach Peter Mgangira’s first acquisition since replacing Peter Mponda who is now with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.
