Six-time Malawian league champions Mighty Wanderers FC have finalized their coaching panel with Macdonald Mtetemera and Sherry Msuku's appointment as assistants for head coach Bob Mpinganjira.

Wanderers, who are affectionately called Nomads, confirmed that Mpinganjira has named the former Chitipa United and Creck Sporting Club mentor Mtetemera and ex-team-mate Msuku as first and second assistant coaches with former captain Francis Mlimbika back as fitness trainer whereas retired midfielder Alfred Manyozo returns as a performance analyst.

The head coach has since maintained Simplex Nthala and Peter Wadabwa as goalkeeper and strikers’ trainers respectively.

The Castel Challenge Cup kings seem to have made the appointments to manage the transition after being hit by resignations last year when Burundian Nsanzwirimo Ramadhan threw in the towel due to pressure to deliver the goods.

Ramadhan’s deputy Meck Mwase took over the mantle but he, too, jumped ship leaving second assistant Bob Mpinganjira to calm the troubled waters and win the Castel Challenge Cup.

The head coach’s son Wisdom Mpinganjira is among the Nomads' stars. Coincidentally, the father and son are not related to club owner and president Dr Thom Mpinganjira.

Wanderers are Malawi’s oldest organized football club formed in 1962 in Blantyre.
