The mass exodus at FCB Nyasa Big Bullets continues with reserve team coach Enos Chatama announcing his exit from the record Malawi Super League champions.
Chatama, credited for grooming many players for the senior team, did not give reasons for his exit from the reserve team.
“It was a tough decision for me to leave Bullets, a club that has been my family for so many years, but it was time for me to take on a new challenge,” he said.
However, media reports suggest that the 42-year-old is the target of Mzuzu Hammers FC, among other Super League teams.
Chatama is the latest to leave Bullets after senior team coach Kalisto Pasuwa, players Gomezgani Chirwa, Nickson Nyasulu, Collin Mujuru, Kenneth Pasuwa, Ronald Chitiyo, Kesten Simbi, Matthews Masamba, Mphatso Magaleta, Precious Phiri, Thomson Magombo and Felix Dumakude.
Peter Mponda is now the new coach for the 16-time Malawi league champions who have since signed defender Chikumbutso Henderson from Mzuzu City Hammers, Blessings Joseph from Chitipa United and renewed contracts for goalkeeper Cedrick Mkungula, defender Blessings Mpokera and midfielder Yankho Singo.
Bullets are the record league champions of Malawi and will gun for a 17th league title when the 2025-26 season starts this March.
Silver Strikers are the defending champions after winning the championship for the first time in 11 years under the tutelage of Mponda before he left to rejoin childhood club, Bullets.
