Mighty Wanderers have opted to stick to Bob Mpinganjira as head coach with the 2025 TNM Super League season kicking off next month.

Mpinganjira has been serving as an interim coach since last season when Meck Mwase threw in the towel from the seven-time Super League champions last November.

Reacting to his appointment on a year-long deal, Mpinganjira said: “I would like to thank the Board for entrusting me with the responsibility to lead Wanderers. We aim to deliver the goods.”

The coach has since wasted no time by bolstering his squad after signing fullback Masiya Manda from Civil Service FC on a two-year contract.

“Masiya is one of the best players on the local scene hence we felt it wise to bring him on board. His coming will bring difference and competition in the team,” the coach said.

Civil have since wished the young defender well as he starts a new lease of life in Blantyre.

“We are grateful for the leadership, dedication, and passion he brought to Civil Service United Football Club during his time with us,” the Lilongwe-based team wrote in a statement.

The 22-year-old Manda has been joined at Wanderers by another defender Fanizo Mwansambo who has signed from relegated Bangwe All-Stars.

Still in Blantyre, newly-promoted Ekhaya FC has hired Enos Chatama as the new head coach on a two-year deal, taking over from Moses Chavula who will serve as an assistant since he does not have a mandatory CAF B Licence for managing teams in the TNM Super League.

Ekhaya have also signed new players Kesten Simbi, Ellias Missi, and Happy Mphepo.

Another TNM Super League rookie Songwe Border United FC are also leaving no stone unturned ahead of their debut appearance in the top-flight league as they have hired Enock Mhone as head coach.

Mzuzu Hammers have hired Steve Mkwinika as the new head coach replacing Kondwa Ikwana who steered the Northern Region-based side to a fourth-place finish and Castle Challenge Cup final last season.

Still in the Northern Region, Moyale Barracks have released three players—Prince Phiri, Tayani Phiri and Allan Kaunda following the expiration of their contracts.
