The shining performances of African players continued in Round 26 of the Roshn Saudi Pro League, with African stars contributing two goals and two assists — and the round isn't even over yet.
Sadio Mané (Senegal) – Al Nassr
Senegalese winger Sadio Mané played a key role in Al Nassr’s 3-1 victory over Al Hilal. In the second minute of the second half, Mané burst down the left flank and delivered a left-footed cross to Cristiano Ronaldo, who finished to double Al Nassr’s lead.
This assist takes Mané's tally to eight assists this season, making him the third-best playmaker in the league. He has now contributed to goals in two consecutive matches, having scored in the previous 3-1 win over Al-Kholood.
Al Nassr sit third in the table with 54 points, trailing league leaders Al Ittihad by eight points.
Riyad Mahrez (Algeria) – Al Ahli
Algerian international Riyad Mahrez provided an assist in Al Ahli’s 2-2 draw with Al Ittihad. In the 51st minute, Mahrez delivered a pinpoint corner that defender Roger Ibañez headed into the net scoring the first goal of the game.
Mahrez continues his good form after recently assisting twice in Algeria’s 5-1 win over Mozambique in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Al Ahli currently occupy fifth place in the league standings with 49 points.
Abdelhamid Sabiri (Morocco) – Al Taawoun
Moroccan attacking midfielder Abdelhamid Sabiri scored Al Taawoun’s second goal in a 2-0 away win over Al-Kholood. In the 80th minute, Sabiri capitalized on a rebound in the box and the goalkeeper’s fall, slotting the ball home.
Al Taawoun had opened the scoring in the 70th minute through Roger Martínez. The victory sees Al Taawoun in seventh place with 37 points after 26 matches.
Saviour Godwin (Nigeria) – Al Okhdood
Nigerian winger Saviour Godwin scored the decisive goal in Al Okhdood’s 1-0 away win over Al Orouba.
In the 24th minute, he latched onto a low cross and fired from inside the box into the net. Godwin has now scored in back-to-back matches, following his goal in the previous 2-1 victory over Al Ahli.
Al Okhdood are currently 15th with 23 points, just one point above Al Fateh, who occupy the first relegation spot (16th).
