Congolese women’s football team striker Merveille Kanjinga has described her move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) women’s football team, on a two-year contract, as a dream come true.
Kanjinga spoke to PSG media after completing her switch from TP Mazembe to the French side on Friday. “Paris Saint-Germain is a big club; the one I dreamed of. I dreamed of joining Paris Saint-Germain and here I am today," she said.
"It's a very good thing! We're going to fight to achieve great things. My aim is to help the club, even though Paris Saint-Germain already has some great players, like Marie-Antoinette Katoto and Grace Geyoro. There are a lot of very high-level players.”
The 21-year-old was the dominant player for Mazembe in all the competitions, including when they won the Champions League last year.
“Her goals, and especially her immense talent, have just opened the doors of PSG for her. The entire TPM family wishes our Wonder all the best in his future career.”
