Ghana forward, Antoine Semenyo has been in blistering form for English Premier League club Bournemouth this season – scoring in the Cherries' 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

His blazing form has attracted several interest from European clubs with key among them being 19-time England champions Liverpool. The 24-year-old is seen as a perfect replacement for Egypt star Mohamed Salah who looks certain to depart the Reds after his contract expires at the end of the current season.

One of the persons to link the Black Stars forward to Liverpool is club legend Michael Owen who believes that Semenyo has the potential to replace Mohamed Salah should the Egyptian forward leave Anfield.

"Semenyo is a brilliant player. He scores goals and we don't know if Mohamed Salah will leave or stay but if he leaves, Semenyo should be his replacement at Liverpool," he added.

Salah’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, allowing him to negotiate with other clubs after the forward said that there had been no progress in discussions with Liverpool. Semenyo, who has already scored seven goals this season, will look to continue his fine form when Bournemouth face Newcastle United at St. James’ Park this weekend.
