Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso says he knows what his side must do to beat AS Maniema Union in Saturday afternoon’s CAF Champions League Group B game in Kinshasa.

The Portuguese mentor, whose South African side is smarting from an away 1-0 loss to group leaders Raja Casablanca, face Maniema Union at the Stade des Martyrs in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

“We are reaching the last stages of the group stage which are the most crucial parts,” he told Sundowns website.

“We are aware of the conditions we are playing and we are aware of the opponent we are playing against and what they are capable of. We know what we have to do to win this game, where we have to take the game, and the limits we have to play. It’s important that we give our best and the result will come naturally.”

Cardoso took over the Sundowns coaching mantle from Mangoba Mngqithi last month and has presided over four wins and one loss across all competitions.

Maniema Union held Sundowns to a 0-0 draw in the first leg played in Pretoria while Mngqithi was still in charge. The Pretoria giants stay in second place, three points behind leaders FAR Rabat. The Moroccan powerhouses clash on Saturday in a top-spot contest.
