Former Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi, has showered praises on Super Eagles right back, Ola Aina for his consistent exploits with club side, Nottingham Forest.
The 28-year-old has featured in all matches for Nuno Espirito’s side in the English Premier League this season, scoring two goals in the process. The enviable feat chalked by Aina earned him a spot in Troy Deeney’s BBC Team of the Week twice.
Aina, who is touted by many as the best right-back in the on going English Premier League this season, has received rave reviews from a former Super Eagle teammate, John Obi Mikel.
“He has had a good season so far. One thing he has added to his game this season is that he’s defending well. He is putting in a lot of crosses now and, of course, chipping in a couple of goals as well, which is absolutely fantastic to see.
“Listen, we all knew he was a fantastic player at the club. He has gone to Forest and has been playing well since returning to the Premier League from Italy,” Mikel Obi said on the Obi One Podcast.
Nottingham Forest are currently third on the English Premier League table and have gathered 37 points from 19 games.
He has courted interest from premier league holders, Manchester City but Forest are equally bent on agreeing a contract extension with the intelligent lateral defender.
