Dr. Mustafa El-Monaiery, the head of the medical staff at Pyramids FC, confirmed that Moroccan international Mohamed Chibi will miss the Egyptian club's upcoming CAF Champions League match against Tunisian giants Espérance due to an injury.
Pyramids FC will host Espérance on Sunday at 4:00 PM GMT at the Air Defense Stadium in the fourth round of matches from Group D.
El-Monaiery explained that Chibi sustained a muscle strain in the recent match against El-Gouna in the Egyptian Premier League. Following medical tests and scans, it was revealed that Chibi has a second-degree strain in his hamstring which will keep him sidelined for approximately two weeks.
Additionally, Pyramids will still be without defender Ahmed Sami who is in the final stages of his rehabilitation program as well as midfielder Mohannad Lasheen who is continuing his recovery.
Midfielder Mahmoud Dunga also remains unavailable due to a knee injury.
