Al Ahly goalkeeper and captain Mohamed El Shenawy confirmed that his team is fully prepared to face CR Belouizdad tomorrow in the fourth round of the CAF Champions League group stage.

In statements shared on Al Ahly's official website, El Shenawy explained that the team has put aside the result of their previous match against CR Belouizdad in Cairo, where Al Ahly won 6-1. The focus now is on achieving a positive result, securing all three points and maintaining their position at the top of the group.

El Shenawy added, "Al Ahly has great experience and is capable of handling all match situations. The senior players constantly talk to their teammates to motivate them and create new incentives. Everyone is strongly driven to achieve victory against CR Belouizdad tomorrow."

CR Belouizdad will host Al Ahly tomorrow, Friday, at the Stade du 5 Juillet in Algiers as part of the fourth round of the CAF Champions League group stage.

CAF Champions League - Group C Standings

1. Al Ahly (Egypt): 7 points

2. Orlando Pirates (South Africa): 5 points

3. CR Belouizdad (Algeria): 3 points

4. Stade d'Abidjan (Ivory Coast): 1 point

El Shenawy did not participate in Al Ahly's last match against ENPPI in the Egyptian Premier League. Head coach Marcel Koller opted to play Mostafa Shobeir in that game, which is a strategy Koller employs periodically by involving the younger backup Shobeir in matches from time to time.
