“We have a tough match tomorrow against CR Belouizdad in the CAF Champions League. We understand its importance, and our goal is to win and top the group.”
El-Shenawy continued:
“After the Pachuca match in the Challenger Cup, the entire team was deeply saddened. Our aim was to reach the Intercontinental Cup final and make history for ourselves while bringing joy to our fans, but we were unfortunate. We have closed the chapter on the Intercontinental Cup and are now fully focused on what’s ahead starting with the CR Belouizdad game.”
The Al Ahly captain also highlighted the team’s respect for all opponents in Group C, stressing the importance of securing victories in every game they play in the competition.

He made a promise to the fans:
“We promise our fans that the future will be better. We are eagerly awaiting tomorrow’s match against CR Belouizdad to make amends and show our appreciation to the supporters who stand by Al Ahly at all times.”
