Mohamed Salah wins Premier League fans' award

Liverpool’s Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah has been voted the PFA Premier League Fans' Player of the Month for February.



The Egyptian forward claimed the award ahead of 5 other nominees including two African players.


The two African nominees were:


Yankuba Minteh (Gambian winger, Brighton)


Beto (Guinea-Bissau forward, Everton)


The other nominees from across the league:


Jean-Philippe Mateta (French forward, Crystal Palace)


Djed Spence (English full-back, Tottenham Hotspur)


Matheus Cunha (Brazilian forward, Wolverhampton Wanderers)


Salah's outstanding performance in February


The Liverpool talisman delivered a superb performance in February, scoring six goals and providing four assists in six Premier League matches.

Salah currently leads the Premier League goal-scoring charts with 27 goals, holding a seven-goal advantage over Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, who is in second place.

Liverpool remain at the top of the table with 70 points, holding a 15-point lead over second-placed Arsenal, who have a game in hand.


Brighton, home to Gambian nominee Yankuba Minteh, sit sixth in the standings with 46 points, just three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, who occupy the final UEFA Champions League qualification spot. They also trail third-placed Nottingham Forest by five points.


Meanwhile, Beto’s Everton are positioned 15th in the Premier League table with 33 points.
