Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed was on target for Nantes in their 2-1 defeat to Stade Rennais in Ligue 1 on Friday.

The 27-year-old scored his side’s only goal in the 54th minute, firing home from inside the box after a cross from his teammate Louis Leroux.

This was Mohamed’s second goal in his last four league appearances, and his fifth in Ligue 1 this season. The former Zamalek star now has six goals in all competitions for Nantes in the 2024/25 campaign, along with one assist in the league.

Mostafa Mohamed has seen limited playing time this season. He has featured in 28 matches across all competitions, totaling 1,128 minutes — an average of nearly 40 minutes per game. Nevertheless, his goal-scoring rate stands out with nearly one goal every two games.

The striker has earned 47 caps for Egypt, netting 13 goals.
