Ghana FA Cup record holders Hearts of Oak romped to a heavy win in the Round of 64 on Sunday afternoon at the Legon Sports Stadium. The millennium champions tamed service-men Ghana Immigration by a 4-0 score in a sparsely populated stadium.
Midfielder Martin Karikari shot the 2000 CAF Champions League winners ahead on the 53rd minute before Mawuli Wayo’s brace and Stephen Appiah Asare’s solitary strike sealed qualification to the Round of 32.
Elsewhere, Asante Kotoko capped their return to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium with a convincing 2-0 victory over lower tier club Future Stars to also qualify for the Round of 32.
Former Great Olympics attacker Albert Amoah grabbed the brace for the Porcupine Warriors in front of a sizable number of supporters in Kumasi on Sunday.
