Harambee Starlets midfielder Mwanalima Adam Dogo produced a stellar performance with a brace and assist to thumb Morocco 5-0 in their second international friendly at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Rabat on Tuesday.
Fasila Odhiambo, Violet Nanjala and Elizabeth Mideva registered a goal each. In the first friendly on Friday, the two teams drew 2-2 with Starlets coming from two goals down courtesy of the hardworking Mwanalima.
Meanwhile, the Junior Stars, Kenya’s U-17 boys ‘team, are ready to take on the region’s top teams in the Total Energies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations CECAFA Qualifiers 2024, which will be held in Kampala, Uganda, from December 14 to December 27, 2024.
Placed in Group B, the Junior Stars will face Somalia, South Sudan, and Sudan in a bid to secure their spot in the continental championship. The action kicks off for Kenya on December 15, 2024, with a showdown against South Sudan at 2:00 PM EAT at Nakivubo Hamz Stadium.
The team will return to the same venue on December 18, 2024, for their second match against Somalia, also scheduled for 2:00 PM EAT. The group stage will conclude with a decisive clash against Sudan on December 20, 2024, at 4:00 PM EAT at St. Mary’s Kitende Stadium.
The team started residential camp on Monday, December 2, 2024 and will travel to the host nation on Tuesday, December 10, 2024
