Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has tipped striker Wandile Duba to take up the striking role at the South African club.

The 20-year-old came to the limelight after he scored in Chiefs 2-1 win against Mamelodi Sundowns to qualify for the final of the Nedbank Cup. After Sundowns had taken the lead in the first half, Duba levelled matters before substitute Ashley Du Preez scored the winner to stun the Brazilians at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

''Regarding Duba, I think he has a lot of quality, physical quality and technical quality. The one thing we work on with Duba is the mental problem,” Nabi said on Duba, who has so far scored six goals in 21 games, as quoted by SABC Sports.

“You know young players when they have to face a huge fan base like the one of Kaizer Chiefs, they turn not to have the mental capacity for that - but that is what we are working on with him. Last season he had a lot of progression to make. He can make it if he gives us a solution as the first or second striker next season.”

Following their success to reach the final, Amakhosi will face rivals Orlando Pirates on May 10. Meanwhile, they will return to the Betway Premiership action with an away fixture against Chippa United on Saturday.
