Uganda Martyrs Rubaga Women Football Club's prolific striker and captain Latifah Nakasi is on the verge of a high-profile transfer to the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League giants in a move that could shake up the title race.

Nakasi, who has consistently demonstrated her goal-scoring prowess with an impressive tally of four goals in the first round has been courted by Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC who have been eager to bolster their attacking line. The player's representatives have reportedly opened talks with the Valley Warriors and a deal is imminent.

Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC's head coach Ayub Khalifah has been vocal about his desire to sign a top-notch striker during the first round and Nakasi fits the bill perfectly. Her outstanding performances have not gone unnoticed as she has also clinched two Player of the Match awards this season.

The addition of Nakasi would be a massive coup for Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC who have been seeking to strengthen their squad. With her exceptional goal-scoring record, Nakasi is poised to form a lethal partnership with the team's existing attacking talents, making them an even more formidable force in the league.

However, if the January transfer deal falls through, sources close to the player indicate that she has a contingency plan in place. It is believed that Nakasi will join Valley Warriors in the summer transfer window, should the current deal not materialize.

Nakasi's departure would however be a devastating blow to Uganda Martyrs Rubaga Women Football Club who have struggled to find consistency in the first round despite her impressive performances.

As captain, Nakasi has been a leader on and off the pitch and her absence will be deeply felt. The Rubaga-based side will need to scramble to find a suitable replacement for the departing striker.

Nakasi's impressive stats which include double figures in goals and assists combined over the last three seasons make her one of the most sought-after strikers in the league. Her impending move is set to send shockwaves throughout the women's football fraternity in Uganda.
