The Ethiopian Premier League Share Company has confirmed the top flight will change host city and venue starting from Round 12. Dire Dawa, east of capital city Addis Ababa, has so far hosted all the league action in the newly renovated Dire Dawa National Stadium.
The league company has yet to confirm the next host city but it has hinted that Addis Ababa and Adama are potential hosts. A statement from the league company received by Pan-Africa Football reads “We are trying to hold the next round of games in either Addis Ababa or Adama.”
Pan-Africa Football also understands the league company inquired about the availability of stadiums in Addis Ababa and the mayor of Addis Ababa is expected to have input in the final decision. Adama previously hosted league games at the Adama Science and Technology University Stadium. It has been three seasons since Addis Ababa hosted league games.
