Chelsea and Senegal striker Nicolas Jackson has come under intense criticism following his lack of goals in the English Premier League this term.

The Senegal international has managed 9 goals and 5 assists in 24 games played across all competitions this season for the Blues. While Chelsea have recorded just two wins in their last nine matches, Jackson has equally battled to find his form on a consistent basis, leading to criticism from club supporters.

Notwithstanding that poor scoring form, Chelsea's Spanish left-back Marc Cucurella feels that Jackson will score ‘a lot of goals’ provided he gets the support of his teammates behind the scenes. Cucurella believes that Nicolas Jackson can return to his best form during the remaining games of the 2024/25 campaign after going off colour in the last couple of months.

“I think for every striker in the world it is important to score goals but with Nicolas it’s not just the goals, he gives a lot to the team,” Cucurella told The Mirror as per Chelsea News.

“He presses very good and does a lot of movement in and out for other players and that is also very good. Everyone has tough moments during the season but the most important thing is that we are with him during this period he plays a lot and for sure if he continues like this he will score a lot of goals.”

Chelsea climbed back into 4th on the league table from with 43 points from 24 matches after beating West Ham 2-1 home last weekend.
